More than 70 years of target pistol shooting
Campbelltown Liverpool District Pistol Club is a volunteer-run sporting club in Sydney’s south-west, bringing together everyone from first-time shooters and juniors to experienced state and national competitors. ISSF pistol is at the heart of the club — we shoot the international programme across five purpose-built ranges — while also supporting Service Pistol, WA1500, rifle shooting and a collectors group. What our members have in common is the sport: learning it, practising it, competing in it, and helping the next person learn.
Who we are
A club with a long memory and a full calendar
The club began in the mid-1950s as a provost marshal military club, formed primarily by Mick Grey, then an Army captain. As more civilians joined, the military membership dropped away and the club became what it is today. It has occupied ranges at Holsworthy, Denham Court and, since the mid-1960s, its own site at Kentlyn.
There are many club competitions through the year with competitors attending from across the state. A number of those events are a stepping stone towards state and national team selection.
We are affiliated with the NSW Amateur Pistol Association and Pistol Australia. Our members shoot the full ISSF range, from Olympic air pistol indoors at 10 metres to free pistol at 50.

A club built for people who shoot
Whether you want to shoot socially, improve your scores or compete seriously, the club gives you the ranges, the competitions and the people to keep progressing.
Membership is deliberately kept straightforward: after your annual fee there are no ongoing range fees and no targets to purchase. Members are responsible for their ammunition and target patches.
Five ranges
Four live-fire ranges and a fully air-conditioned indoor air pistol range with electronic targets — so weather is rarely a reason not to shoot.
Coaching and training
Safe handling courses for both handgun and longarms licences, regular Wednesday evening training, and a membership happy to teach.
Real competition
Club matches, sanctioned NSW APA events, and memorial competitions that have been running here for decades.
